🤍Faith isn’t always clean🤍
James 1:22 ~
“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only…”
There are some farm jobs you simply cannot do while trying to keep your boots clean.
Eventually, you have to step into the mud.
You can stand at the gate and talk about what needs doing…
You can make a list…
You can pray about it…
You can wait until conditions are perfect…
But sooner or later…
you have to walk into the field! 🙌🏼
And I wonder how many of us are standing at the edge of something God has already told us to do because we’re waiting for a cleaner, easier, more comfortable way to obey Him.
Maybe God has been telling you to make the phone call…
Start the thing…
Have the conversation…
Forgive them…
Apply…
Write it…
Speak up…
Walk away…
Show up…
And you keep saying, “Lord, just give me another sign.”
Meanwhile, Heaven might be saying…
“Girl… I gave you the gate. WALK THROUGH IT!!” 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Faith isn’t merely believing God can.
Sometimes faith is getting your boots dirty because God said GO.
Noah had to pick up a hammer…
Peter had to step out of the boat…
Abraham had to leave home…
The disciples had to drop their nets…
Their obedience required movement.
And yours might, too! 🙌🏼
Jesus, give me courage to move when You say move. Keep me from using fear, perfection, or endless preparation as excuses for delayed obedience. If You have opened the gate before me, give me faith to walk through it—even when the path gets muddy. I don’t need every detail. I just need to trust the One leading me. In Jesus’ name, Amen! 🤍
💚REFLECTION💚
What have you been praying about that God may already have given you instructions for?

You weren’t called to admire the field from the gate.
Put your boots on. There’s Kingdom work to do! 🙌🏼

Living out faith often requires more than quiet belief; it demands stepping forward into what feels uncertain and messy. Like the message shared in 'Mud on Your Boots Monday,' there are moments when waiting for perfect conditions can hold us back from fulfilling what we feel called to do. In my own experience, I’ve found that the push to take that first step—even if it means getting uncomfortable—can shift the entire trajectory of personal growth and spiritual breakthrough. One powerful example comes from the daily work on a farm, where attempts to keep boots clean are futile if you want to get anything done. This metaphor reminds me that spiritual faith works the same way: sometimes, genuine faith means embracing the ‘mud’—the challenges, discomforts, and uncertainties—and stepping out boldly despite fear or doubt. Just as Noah had to pick up his hammer, and Peter had to step out onto the water, our faith journey involves tangible actions. Waiting endlessly for signs or better situations can become a barrier to growth. Trusting in God’s timing and leading, even when every detail isn't clear, is an act of obedience and courage. Reflecting further, I realize that praying for courage to act is vital. When you feel stuck or uncertain, it may help to ask yourself: What is the ‘gate’ God has placed before me? What practical step is He asking me to take? Whether it’s making a phone call, forgiving someone, or starting a new chapter, each requires moving beyond contemplation to active trust. Moreover, this mindset fosters resilience. When you walk through the muddy path knowing you are following a higher calling, the challenge itself becomes a source of strength. The journey to obedience redefines faith—it transforms waiting and hoping into doing and trusting, blending belief with action to experience real change in life and spirit.
