🤍Stop overlooking the blessings because they arrived one at a time🤍
Psalm 103:2 ~
“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”
There’s something about gathering eggs that’ll preach if you let it.
You walk into the coop with an empty basket.
One egg here…
Another tucked back in the corner…
One you almost missed beneath the straw…
And before long, you look down and realize…
your basket isn’t empty anymore.
But here’s the thing…
The chickens didn’t hand you a full basket all at once.
You had to gather what had been given.
And I wonder how many times we miss what God is doing because we’re waiting for Him to hand us the whole basket.
We’re waiting for the BIG answer…
The BIG breakthrough…
The BIG opportunity…
The BIG harvest…
Meanwhile, God has been leaving little evidences of His goodness all over our ordinary days.
That bill got paid…
Gather it.
You had food on the table…
Gather it.
Someone called at exactly the right moment…
Gather it.
You woke up with another day in front of you…
Gather it.
God gave you strength for something you were certain you couldn’t handle…
Gather it.
That prayer hasn’t been completely answered yet… but something shifted…
Gather that too.
Friend, sometimes we aren’t lacking God’s goodness.
We’re overlooking it because it didn’t arrive all at once! 🙌🏼
Psalm 103 tells us not to forget His benefits.
Maybe that’s because we’re prone to remember the one thing we’re still waiting on while forgetting the twenty things He’s already done.
And isn’t that just like us?
We can stare at one empty nesting box so long that we forget we’re already carrying a basket full of evidence that God has been faithful! 🙌🏼
Today, quit measuring God’s goodness only by what hasn’t happened yet.
Look again…
Look under the straw…
Look in the ordinary…
Look at what He’s carried you through…
Look at what you have today that you once prayed for…
Then pick it up.
Treasure it.
Thank Him for it.
Gather what God gave you.
Because when you start collecting the little evidences of His faithfulness…
you may discover your basket is a whole lot fuller than you thought! 🙌🏼
Jesus, forgive me for the times I’ve focused so much on what I’m waiting for that I’ve overlooked what You’ve already given me. Open my eyes to Your goodness in the ordinary. Help me remember Your faithfulness, treasure Your daily provision, and recognize every little evidence of Your hand upon my life. Thank You for every blessing already in my basket. In Jesus’ name, Amen! 🤍

This mindset shift helped me embrace gratitude deeply by gathering the "eggs" God places before me each day—paid bills, unexpected help, restored relationships, or moments of joy. To practically apply this, I keep a daily gratitude journal, a small basket where I collect evidence of God’s faithfulness. Each entry is like gathering an egg, reinforcing that my basket of blessings is fuller than I once thought. This habit fosters joy, patience, and hope, especially during seasons of waiting or uncertainty. I encourage readers to intentionally look around, reflect on what God has already provided, and offer thanks for those "little evidences." When we do, life’s ordinary moments become extraordinary reminders of His care and presence. We begin to realize we carry a basket brimming with treasures, a source of encouragement and strength for whatever lies ahead.
