In October of 2012, I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma, and I was hormone receptor positive. The breast cancer was Stage 2 Grade 3. I had a lumpectomy in November, but the margins weren't clear, so I opted for a mastectomy with 9 lymph nodes removed instead of another lumpectomy. T

#lemon8diarychallenge Today my sister had her lumpectomy for her triple negative breast cancer! The surgery went well, and the 7cm tumor (which she named lumpy) has been removed and sent to pathology for further tests! She’s feeling pretty wiped from surgery but I’m so relieved she’s okay.
