Grow With God 🫶🏽
This year has been a trying year for me. I was not renewed for my teaching position. I wasn’t paid during maternity leave. My fianceé has been covering the bills & he hasn’t complained once. It’s such a beautiful thing to be in a place where my kids & I are safe, protected, & provided for. 🫶🏽 BUT, I have had a hard time trusting God during this process. I couldn’t understand why I was being hit so hard every which way. BUT GOD. He’s been showing me reasons why he had to remove me from that job, because he had greater for me. I’ve been realizing that in order to grow IN him, I had to build my relationship WITH him. So that’s what I’ve been doing. I’ve been trying my hardest to trust him & grow with him. These are just 4 things I’ve learned so far on my journey. Follow me to see how I progress in my journey. 🙏🏽 #growingwithgod #journeywithgod #godlyglowup #embracevulnerability #Lemon8Diary
Life can be full of unexpected hurdles, and my journey this year has been no exception. Losing a job and facing financial challenges can shake anyone’s faith. However, it was during these tough times that I began to see the light and develop a more profound relationship with God. Through self-reflection and guidance, I uncovered four critical practices that have significantly impacted my spiritual growth: 1. **Spending Time with God**: Just as relationships flourish with quality time, so does our connection with God. Dedicate time each day to pray and meditate, allowing for personal conversations that build intimacy and trust. 2. **Studying the Scriptures**: Diving into the Bible opens avenues to understanding God’s purpose in our lives. Utilizing a structured Bible plan can make this process easier, helping to interpret complex scriptures and apply their wisdom to everyday situations. 3. **Cutting Loose Ends**: It is vital to let go of relationships or commitments that do not resonate with God’s teachings and detract from spiritual growth. Surrounding yourself with supportive, faith-driven individuals can create a nurturing environment conducive to growth. 4. **Embracing Vulnerability**: God knows our flaws and innermost struggles, yet many of us hesitate to be open with Him. Being vulnerable allows for healing; recognizing our weaknesses and imperfections helps us to grow stronger in our faith. As I continue on my journey towards a deeper faith, I invite you to reflect on your own relationship with God. Embrace these practices as tools to nurture your walk with Him, find peace in trusting His plans, and ultimately, grow together in faith.
