FINALLY YOUTUBE! 🙌🏽

2024/12/15 Edited to

... Read moreWow, it feels surreal to finally be here! My heart is bursting with gratitude because my dream of joining the YouTube Partner Program is becoming a reality. You might have seen my initial post, but I wanted to dive deeper into what this journey has really been like and share some practical tips for anyone else out there working towards monetization. It wasn't just a prayer; it was consistent effort, and now I'm navigating the exciting 'in progress' phase of AdSense! So, what exactly does it take to even apply for the YouTube Partner Program (YPP)? For me, the first big hurdle was meeting those famous eligibility requirements: 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 valid public watch hours in the past 12 months. (Or, if you're a Shorts creator, it's 10 million valid public Shorts views in 90 days!) It felt like such a distant goal at times, but I kept focusing on creating content I loved. Tracking my progress in YouTube Studio became a daily ritual – seeing those numbers creep up was so motivating. For anyone wondering how to get there, my biggest advice is consistency and engaging with your audience. Find your niche, and don't be afraid to experiment! Once you hit those magical numbers, the real fun begins: applying! This is where the YouTube Partner Program review process really kicks in. In YouTube Studio, you'll find the 'Earn' section, which guides you through the application. Based on my experience, there are usually three main steps, just like the screenshot you might have seen. First, you 'Review Base terms' – essentially agreeing to YouTube's rules for partners. It's super important to read these carefully! Then comes the 'Sign up for AdSense for YouTube' step. My application is currently 'In Progress' here, and let me tell you, linking your channel to an AdSense account is crucial for getting paid. If you don't have one, YouTube will help you set it up. This part felt a bit technical, but the prompts in YouTube Studio make it manageable. After you’ve completed the first two steps, your channel then enters the 'Get reviewed' phase. This is where YouTube's team manually reviews your channel to ensure it complies with all their monetization policies. This can sometimes take a few weeks, or even longer during peak times. It’s hard to be patient, but remember, they're checking for things like original content, compliance with community guidelines, and overall channel health. My best advice while you're waiting? Keep creating! Don't slow down. Use this time to plan new videos, engage with your community, and make sure all your existing content aligns with YouTube's policies. I've been double-checking my older videos to make sure everything is in tip-top shape. It’s all part of the YouTube Partner Program review to ensure high-quality content. Achieving this goal has been an incredible journey, and seeing that 'In Progress' status for AdSense is truly a dream come true. If you're on your own path to YouTube monetization, know that it's absolutely achievable with dedication and a clear understanding of the YouTube Partner Program eligibility and review steps. Keep pushing forward, stay authentic, and your hard work will pay off! I'm so excited for what comes next!
