A Court Of Wings And Ruin aka ACOWAR 🫶

My review: What can I say about this book other than it took me an entire month to get through it simply because I got distracted by other books I was reading but this book right here was absolutely amazing. I’m being biased here and saying that ACOMAF is still my favorite so far but this book is a close tie with it because it really dives deep into the IC’s lives and sacrifices to save their home. I loved how all the courts were able to put their differences aside and come together for the most important battle of their lives. Now I’m not going to continue because I don’t want to write too many spoilers for those just starting, still reading, or are almost to the final stretch. Just know this book is worth the full 82 chapters

... Read moreAfter finally closing the vibrant pink book cover of 'A Court of Wings and Ruin', adorned with its stunning yellow and black intricate designs, I can honestly say this third installment in the ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Maas left me absolutely breathless. While another book in the series still holds my top spot, ACOWAR undeniably earned its 5-star rating from me, a true 'Chef's Kiss' moment for any fantasy lover. It's more than just a continuation; it's a deep dive into the heart of Prythian that I truly appreciated. One of the most captivating aspects for me was the incredible character development. Readers searching for insights into characters like Cassian will not be disappointed. In ACOWAR, Cassian truly comes into his own, battling not only external threats but also his own past. His unwavering loyalty and fierce protectiveness, especially towards certain individuals, shine through, making him an even more compelling figure. And for those curious about 'Feyre's wings,' this book explores her journey of embracing her power and identity as High Lady in ways that are both empowering and deeply emotional. Seeing her navigate the complexities of leadership and war, while still grappling with her own vulnerabilities, was incredibly impactful. This book really emphasizes the grandeur and gravity of the conflict at hand. The original review touched on the sacrifices of the Inner Circle, and I want to expand on that by saying it’s not just about grand gestures, but the quiet, constant struggle and resilience of each character that makes their fight so poignant. The way all the different courts, often at odds, eventually put their differences aside for the greater good was incredibly satisfying to read. It's a testament to Maas's storytelling that she can weave such a complex political and emotional tapestry. Every chapter, all 82 of them, pulls you deeper into the high stakes and epic scope of this war. Beyond the plot, the world-building continues to be a highlight. The descriptions of battles, the magic, and the various realms are so vivid, I felt completely immersed. If you're looking for an ACOTAR Book 3 that delivers on action, romance, and profound character arcs, 'A Court of Wings and Ruin' is an absolute must-read. It solidifies its place as a crucial turning point in the series, setting the stage for everything that follows, and I can't recommend it enough for fellow fantasy enthusiasts.
