... Read moreConfidence is something many of us struggle with at different points in life. I often find myself looking back at times when I felt more self-assured and wishing I could reclaim that powerful sense of belief in myself. In my experience, confidence isn’t just about how others perceive you, but more importantly about how you view yourself internally. One thing that helped me regain my confidence was setting small, achievable goals. Instead of trying to make huge changes overnight, celebrating tiny victories gave me a sense of accomplishment that gradually rebuilt my belief in my abilities. For example, simply speaking up in a meeting or trying something new socially can be a big step forward. Also, surrounding yourself with supportive people who encourage and uplift you can make a huge difference. Negative self-talk and doubt often creep in when we isolate ourselves or constantly compare ourselves to others online or in real life. Remembering that everyone’s journey is unique helped me be kinder to myself. Practicing mindfulness and reflection has also been key. Taking time to recognize our strengths, even when we don’t feel our best, plants seeds for renewed confidence. Sometimes journaling about how we feel and what we want to improve can clarify our path and motivate us to keep going. It’s normal to have moments where confidence dips — what matters most is choosing to keep moving forward, however small the steps may be. The wish to have confidence back is the first important sign that you’re ready to grow and heal. Embracing that feeling with compassion opens the door to rediscovering your self-worth and power.
