before you start running know this✨🏃🏼♀️➡️
1. literally anyone, any shape, any size can be a long distance runner. i always thought since i was 5’2 and 160lbs there was no way i could run long distance. i was WRONG
2. RUNNING IS A MENTAL SPORT 😅 when i started running by myself my body wouldn’t hurt…I wouldn’t get winded…i just would tell myself “you need to slow down” or “you can’t do this you need to stop” but going running with the girlies?? i can run 8 miles like it’s nothing.
3. where you go run makes all the difference. running on a treadmill is the bane of my existence. but running outdoors and in new places? absolute *chefs kiss* (until that humid Alabama summer weather hits)
4. being hydrated BEFORE a run will make all the difference.
5. you will have good runs and bad runs. some days i can run 2-3 at the same pace without stopping. other days? i can barely run 1. and that’s okay!
6. no matter what anyone tells you…a mile is a mile. no matter how slow or how fast. if it took you 45 minutes to get a mile in that’s better than 0 miles in!
you got this…keep up the good work. don’t let anyone tell you you can’t do it because you can.
