Many of you know quite a bit about my story.
If you don't know, I was in an accident with a semi truck in 2017, and it caused me to have many chronic issues.
I became a very different person in many ways.
Before the accident, I would dress my children really cute and style their hair all different ways.
After the accident, it hurt my fingers just to brush their hair.
Before the accident, I would cook a full supper every day, which always included protein, veggies, and a carb like potatoes or pasta.
After the accident, I found myself buying food, only for it to get thrown away because I was too tired, couldn't remember how, or in too much pain.
It made me feel useless and depressed.
After a few years, I learned that I was still alive, I still had people who loved me; the things I used to do or could no longer do.
I learned that I could still have fun with my children, and I could still be functional, but I had to learn how to do everything differently.
I have to do things a little slower.
I have to exercise more carefully and less strenuously.
My point to you is that bad things may happen to us that may hinder our lives as we know it, but as long as we're living, we are able to adjust.
You can be strong, and yes, there's days when I can only lay in bed or I cry sometimes when my husband is doing dishes for me.
It's okay though because I also have good days and that's the prize!
Through the darkness, the focus needs to be on the good days because they will come. Just get through the hard days so you're able to cherish the good days ahead 💜
I'm excited to announce that I've partnered with @stelle_activewear because being strong should be as comfortable as possible.
Since the accident, my body has lost muscle from being inactive due to pain, but the more I move around, the stronger I get.
