Luke Chapter Two Bible journaling 🩷💒🎀💕

I am doing the 24 days of CHRISTmas Bible advent. What you do is you go through the book of Luke, because there are 24 chapters in Luke, and you’re reading through Jesus and his life story. And then by Christmas we will know who Jesus is and why we celebrate his birth. It is a beautiful thing and reading about the amazing things that Jesus did while he was on earth is so eye-opening and beautiful. I hope you join me in the study until Christmas!!! Jesus loves you!🩷🩷💒💒🎀🎀✨✨#biblejournalwithme #bible & journal #embracevulnerability #journalbible#christisking

... Read moreI've been absolutely loving my 24-day Christmas Bible advent, and diving into Luke Chapter 2 through journaling has been such a profound experience! If you're looking to deepen your connection with the Christmas story, I highly recommend spending some time with this beautiful chapter. It's not just about reading; it's about letting the words sink into your heart and expressing your reflections creatively. For me, Luke Chapter 2 truly brings the wonder of Jesus' birth to life. As I journaled, I focused on verses that spoke about the angelic announcement to the shepherds and Mary pondering these things in her heart. I found myself highlighting key phrases about salvation and the incredible light that Jesus brings into the world. One of my favorite parts was reflecting on the promise that 'He Gives Light to those who sit in the DARKNESS.' This verse really resonated with me, reminding me of the hope that Christmas offers. When I approached my journaling page for Luke Chapter 2, I thought about how I could visually represent the story. I often include little stable drawings or Christmas-themed doodles like stars, angels, or even tiny candy canes to bring a festive touch. It's not about being an artist; it's about letting your creativity flow as you meditate on the scripture. You could try different lettering styles for significant words or use colored pens to emphasize certain themes. For instance, I used bright yellow for 'light' and a softer blue for 'peace.' If you're new to Bible journaling, don't feel intimidated! Just open your Bible to Luke Chapter 2, grab a journal or a journaling Bible, and a few colorful pens. Read through the chapter slowly, perhaps a few verses at a time. What words or phrases stand out to you? What emotions do they evoke? How does the story of Jesus' birth speak to your heart today? You might want to write a prayer, a poem, or simply jot down your thoughts and personal applications. One practical tip I learned is to look for themes. In Luke 2, themes of humility (Jesus born in a manger), wonder (Mary's response), joy (the angels' message), and hope (the arrival of the Savior) are abundant. Choosing one theme to focus on each day can make the journaling process less overwhelming and more focused. For example, one day I concentrated on the shepherds' immediate response and their spreading the good news, thinking about how I can share the joy of Jesus' birth with others. Another day, I simply drew a star and wrote down all the names and titles given to Jesus in this chapter, realizing the profound significance of each one. This advent journey through Luke has been such a cherished time, helping me to truly understand who Jesus is and why we celebrate his birth. It's more than just a tradition; it's a deeply personal encounter with the living Word. I encourage you to try it, even if it's just for Luke Chapter 2. You might be surprised at how much richer your Christmas season becomes as you pause to reflect on these amazing truths and let His light fill your heart.
