i traded my ipad pro for a german shepherd puppy!
so… i did a thing.
i listed my ipad pro on facebook marketplace about a month ago. no one was really interested, other than a couple of not that great trade offers.
then a couple days ago, a lady reached out to me asking if i would be interested in trading it for a purebred german shepherd puppy. MY HEART LEAPT OUT OF MY CHEST IN ✨ PURE JOY ✨
it was an instant yes. i saw a picture of that beautiful boy and immediately fell in love, and also immediately knew what his name would be — dakota (koda for short)!
a couple days after that initial message, we made the swap. and i have absolutely no regrets. koda is my baby boy!
was this the wildest thing i‘ve ever done? no lol. but this was one of the best impulsive decisions i’ve made in my life so far.
i have bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder (bpd), ptsd, and severe anxiety. i’ve been in a severe depressive episode for months, and taking care of koda is already starting to help me get out of this episode.
not only that, but i’ve been job hunting for a few months. the job market has been rough. the day that i got koda, i got calls for two job interviews, had both the next day, and received an offer from one job the same day i interviewed!
talk about a good luck charm!🍀
i feel so blessed and grateful for koda to have come into my life. i’m so excited to make lifelong memories with this beautiful baby boy.
some good things can come from facebook marketplace. 🥹💗
now wish me luck with potty training lol 🙃
When I posted my iPad Pro on Facebook Marketplace, I was really just hoping to get some cash or a decent tech swap. Most people are probably looking for the official 'iPad Pro 11 inch 3rd generation trade in value' when they search online, and honestly, so was I, initially. But my experience took a totally different turn, and it got me thinking about what 'value' truly means, especially when you’re dealing with personal electronics. It's not always about the highest dollar amount. I think many of us have that old gadget lying around, whether it's an iPad, a phone, or a laptop, and we wonder if it's worth selling or trading. Listing my iPad Pro on Facebook Marketplace felt like a good shot. For anyone considering selling theirs, a few things I learned: always be clear about the model (mine was an 11-inch 3rd generation, which I made sure to mention), its condition, and what exactly you're looking for. Clear photos from all angles are crucial, showing any minor wear, to build trust. While I was looking for a traditional 'trade-in value', I kept getting offers that just didn't feel right. Sometimes the cash offers were too low, or the trade items weren't what I needed. It can be frustrating, but then came the offer for a purebred German Shepherd puppy! That's when I realized 'value' isn't always about dollars and cents. For me, the emotional and personal value of getting Koda far outweighed any cash I might have gotten for my iPad Pro. It was an unexpected success story. For those genuinely seeking monetary trade-in value for an iPad Pro 11 inch 3rd generation, official sites like Apple's trade-in program or Best Buy can give you quick quotes. However, platforms like Facebook Marketplace, eBay, or Swappa often yield higher returns if you're willing to put in the effort. Just remember to prioritize safety when meeting for transactions – public places are best. My personal journey showed me that sometimes, the greatest 'trade-in value' comes in the most unexpected forms. While my iPad Pro was a fantastic device, this unique trade brought a kind of joy and support that money couldn't buy. Koda has been more than just a pet; he's been a catalyst for positive change in my life, helping me navigate mental health challenges and even bringing good luck with job interviews. So, if you're ever pondering what to do with your old tech, don't just think about the monetary value. Sometimes, a unique trade can lead to something truly priceless. Who knew my iPad Pro would lead to my best friend? It's been an absolute win, and I'm so glad I went with my gut on this one.
