Get To Know My Skin Journey ✨🌿

Skincare became so much easier once I started learning what MY skin actually needed 👀💚

✨ My skin type:• Oily & acne-prone most of the year• Combination during winter

✨ My main concerns:• Barrier protection• Hyperpigmentation & post acne marks• Sensitivity• Preventing breakouts

I also have a mushroom allergy, so I avoid products containing mushrooms, ferments & mushroom-derived ingredients 🍄🚫

Over time I realized my skin responds best to:

✔️ Gentle cleansing

✔️ Hydration

✔️ Barrier-supporting ingredients

✔️ SPF

✔️ Consistency & patience

Healthy skin isn’t built overnight 💚

... Read moreThroughout my skincare journey, understanding the unique needs of my skin has been a game changer. As someone with oily and acne-prone skin most of the year, transitioning to combination skin during winter adds layers of complexity that require tailored treatment. One major challenge I faced was hyperpigmentation and stubborn post-acne marks, which motivated me to focus on barrier-supporting ingredients like ceramides, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid. These ingredients not only soothe and hydrate but also strengthen the skin barrier to prevent further irritation and breakouts. Managing my sensitivity has been equally important. I discovered that gently cleansing without stripping my skin helps maintain its natural moisture. Avoiding harsh scrubs or alcohol-based toners drastically improved my skin’s tolerance. Since I am allergic to mushrooms, I became very diligent about reading ingredient lists to avoid ferments and mushroom derivatives, which could cause adverse reactions. This awareness has been vital in preventing unexpected flare-ups. One of the most impactful habits I adopted is consistent daily use of SPF to shield my skin from harmful UV rays, which can worsen hyperpigmentation and delay healing of post-acne scars. Incorporating hydration both topically and internally keeps my skin plump and resilient. What truly makes a difference is patience: healthy, glowing skin builds progressively through daily care, not overnight fixes. If you’re dealing with similar issues like sensitive, acne-prone skin or pigmentation concerns, I encourage you to focus on barrier repair and hydration while avoiding irritants. Customize your routine to your skin’s signals and stay consistent. Sharing my experience has made me realize how empowering it is to decode your skin’s needs and embrace a journey towards confidence and clarity.
