What I've learned in 9 months...

...of content creation!

•It's exhausting. If you don't have a routine.

•It's ok to not have a niche, but it limits the push you'll get.

•If you don't want to be on your phone all time, set clear boundaries for yourself.

•Schedule your content so you're not burning out by doing it everyday.

•Resuse content, but with different messaging or intent. Pictures and videos can absolutely have a variety of meaning behind them.

I'm not a professional content creator. I'm just doing my best and sharing what I've learned so far. Consider giving me a follow!

... Read moreContent creation is a rewarding yet challenging journey, especially when approaching it for several months like this nine-month experience highlights. One critical takeaway is the importance of establishing a consistent routine. Without a schedule, the process can become exhausting quickly, leading to burnout. I experienced this firsthand when I tried to create daily content without breaks—it drained my creativity and energy. Setting clear personal boundaries, such as specific hours for content work and designated phone-free times, helps maintain mental well-being and productivity. While having a niche can enhance your content’s reach by targeting a specific audience, it’s not mandatory. However, without a niche, you might find it harder to grow your audience or receive algorithmic boosts. During my journey, I experimented with different topics and styles, which broadened my skills but made it harder to build a dedicated following early on. An effective strategy I adopted was reusing existing content with new messaging or intent. For example, a video clip could serve diverse purposes depending on the caption or platform used. This approach maximizes content value while reducing the pressure to produce fresh material constantly. Scheduling your posts also proved essential. By planning content ahead, I avoided daily stress and ensured a steady online presence even on busy days. Apps that allow post-scheduling can streamline this process. Finally, embracing imperfection and understanding that you don’t need to be a professional to create meaningful content has been liberating. Sharing authentic experiences, even with flaws, connects better with audiences and builds genuine community. Overall, these lessons emphasize a balance between creativity, strategy, and self-care, which are vital for any content creator aiming for long-term success.
