Don’t EVER do this!
I’m not risk averse and I’ve taken many courses in the last 4 years.
I’ve been bummed by SEVERAL.
But never have I gone into debt to take them.
Yes, there’s a time and place to bet on yourself.
But it’s when your cash flow can back that bet.
This coach couldn’t guarantee my success.
And her program was THOUSANDSSS.
That wouldn’t have been “investing in myself.”
That would’ve been gambling with my future.
Don’t go into debt for someone else’s promise.
Start where you are.
Make your first wins small but fast.
Then scale when you’re ready - not when someone pressures you. 🫶

I remember staring at an invoice for a 'transformative' online program, my finger hovering over the 'pay now' button. It was thousands of dollars, promising instant success, but my gut screamed, 'Don't take a loan for this program!' That moment crystallized my commitment to a debt-free approach, especially when many a 'business coach advises debt' as a path to growth. It felt like gambling with my future, not investing in it. So, how do you pursue your entrepreneurial dreams without falling into the debt trap? I’ve learned a few key lessons that I want to share with you. First, start small and validate your ideas without breaking the bank. Before you even think about dropping serious cash on a course, test the waters. Can you offer a mini-version of your service for free or at a very low cost? Use free platforms to build an audience. This is a truly 'risk-neutral path to income generation'. For example, when I first considered 'teaching digital products,' I didn't create a full-blown course. Instead, I offered a free webinar and gathered feedback. This helped me refine my idea and ensure there was actual demand before I invested my time and money. It's about making small, fast wins that build confidence and provide real-world data. Second, seek out affordable alternatives and bootstrap your learning. There are countless free and low-cost resources available today – YouTube tutorials, library books, podcasts, free online communities. I spent months devouring free content before I ever considered a paid program. When I did decide to invest, I looked for courses that offered payment plans or were significantly more affordable. Remember, you don't always need to 'mortgage the future to make money online'. I've found incredible value in programs under $500 that delivered more practical, actionable advice than some of the multi-thousand dollar offerings. It's about smart learning, not just expensive learning. Third, prioritize cash flow and build a financial buffer. The article mentions, 'it's when your cash flow can back that bet.' This is crucial. Before you commit to any significant investment, ensure your current income can comfortably cover it without needing to dip into savings or take on new debt. I personally aim to have at least three months of living expenses saved up, plus the full cost of any course I'm considering, before I even enroll. This gives me peace of mind and prevents the pressure that often leads to bad financial decisions. It ensures I'm truly 'investing in myself' from a position of strength, not desperation. Finally, be wary of high-pressure sales tactics and unrealistic promises. If a 'business coach advises debt' or promises overnight riches, that's a huge red flag. True growth takes time and effort. I've learned to trust my intuition. If something feels too good to be true, it probably is. Instead, look for mentors who share realistic expectations, provide tangible value, and encourage sustainable growth. My approach now is to follow a clear 'five steps' process: identify a need, validate it with a small audience, create a minimal viable product, gather feedback, and then scale slowly and responsibly. This way, I never have to worry about 'taking a loan for a program' and instead focus on steady, organic growth. It’s truly liberating to build something meaningful without the crushing weight of debt.

Great advice. I love your thought process.🥰🍋🔥
