Hey everyone! So many of you have asked about my stealth camping routine and what van life is really like, especially when it comes to finding a safe spot for the night. It’s definitely an art form, and after countless nights on the road, I’ve learned a few tricks. One of the biggest questions I get is, 'Where do you even sleep?' Honestly, it varies! Sometimes I look for quiet residential streets – not directly in front of someone's house, of course, but spots where there's usually street parking. Industrial areas can be surprisingly good too, especially if there are businesses that are closed overnight. And yes, sometimes it's even near a Police Station Stealth camp – it might sound counterintuitive, but often these areas are well-lit and have a constant presence, which can actually make you feel safer. The key is to be as discreet as possible. My van doesn't scream 'camper,' so I try to blend in like any other parked vehicle. Before I settle down for the night, I always do a quick check of the area. Is it well-lit? Are there any signs prohibiting overnight parking? Is it noisy? I also make sure I'm ready to move if needed, because sometimes you just get a bad vibe. When it's time to call it a night, it's all about making the van feel cozy and secure. I always draw my blackout curtains tight so no light escapes, and no one can peek in. It’s my little cocoon on wheels. Speaking of cozy, you saw in my morning vlog that I mentioned I got cold during the night and had to put some joggers on. That's super common! Temperatures can drop quickly, even inside the van, so layers are my best friend. A good quality sleeping bag or a thick duvet is a must. And yes, sometimes my furry co-pilot, who slept next to me last night, helps keep me warm too! There's nothing quite like waking up with your best friend right there, even if they're still asleeper than me sometimes! It's those little moments that make van life so special. My morning routine usually starts pretty early. I try to be up and ready before most people start their day. There’s a certain peace to watching the sunrise from a new location. After a Good Night's rest (or as good as it gets on the road!), the first thing I do is get myself a warm drink. And yes, you guessed it, sometimes I treat myself to Eating Freshly Baked Donuts in The Van! It’s amazing what simple pleasures can bring so much joy when you're living minimally. After my morning coffee and treat, I start getting ready to be on the move. The goal is always to be Leaving The Spot discreetly, leaving no trace behind. It’s all about respecting the places I visit and keeping a low profile. Van life is an incredible journey of freedom and discovery, but it also comes with its own set of challenges, like finding spots, staying warm, and always being prepared. But for me, the adventures and the unique experiences far outweigh any difficulties. It's a lifestyle I wouldn't trade for anything!
