lazy day hair inspo
There are so many days where I am running late, do not feel like styling my hair, just have to run some quick errands, or I am even just staying at home all day.
On those days where I might night feel like doing my hair, but I still need to do something with it, this is a go to. It’s so simple but often forgotten.
Here is your inspo!
Start by loosely gathering your hair into a low ponytail and secure the hair with a clear elastic. I only tied the elastic around two times because I want this very loose and messy.
Then begin to gently pull on the hair above the elastic to loosen it up even more.
I pulled out some hairs in the front to mess it up a bit more, and then pulled my ponytail to the side.
You may need to adjust the hair if you pull it to the side like I did.
That’s it! You simply cannot get any easier than this, but it’s actually cute and can look put together.
Have a great lazy day🥰✨

Okay, so we've covered the ultimate lazy day, messy low ponytail – it truly is a lifesaver when you're short on time but still want to feel cute! But let's dive a little deeper into how to perfect that 'clear' hairstyle look and make it work for even more situations, whether you're rushing out the door or just chilling at home. First, that clear elastic is your secret weapon! I love them because they practically disappear, making your style look seamless and effortless. No distracting hair ties, just pure hair magic. To keep your hair healthy, try not to wrap it too tightly, especially if you have fine hair. A little tip: if you find clear elastics snapping easily, try the softer, silicone-based ones—they're much gentler and reusable. Alternatively, a thin hair tie that perfectly matches your hair color can also give that 'barely there' effect, making your hairstyle look incredibly clean and clear without drawing attention away from your lovely locks. Beyond the signature messy low ponytail, there are other quick styles that achieve a similar 'clear' and put-together vibe. On days when I want something even quicker, a low messy bun is fantastic. Just gather your hair as if for a low ponytail, twist it into a loose bun, and secure it with another clear elastic or a few bobby pins. Pull out a few face-framing pieces, just like with the ponytail, to soften the look. This keeps your hair completely off your neck and face, giving a very 'clear' and unfussy appearance, perfect for a busy day or just relaxing at home. Want to elevate your simple style without extra effort? Texture is key! Even for a lazy day look, a quick spritz of dry shampoo at the roots can add amazing volume and absorb any excess oil, making your hair look instantly refreshed and fuller. A texturizing spray through the lengths can add that coveted 'undone' vibe, making your messy low ponytail look more intentional and less 'just rolled out of bed.' It also helps those strategically pulled-out pieces around your face hold their shape better. And here's a personal hack for those days you want a slightly neater 'clear hairstyle' but still want it quick: Before gathering your hair into that low ponytail, use a hairbrush to smooth the top section and your crown. This creates a sleek, polished base while still allowing the ponytail itself to be loose and relaxed. It's a fantastic way to balance polished and undone, giving you a versatile look that transitions easily from running errands in your plaid top to a casual meetup. Remember, the goal is often to look *effortlessly chic*, and these little tweaks can make all the difference without adding much time. So whether you're rocking the messy low ponytail with your clear elastic or trying a quick bun, these tips will help you achieve that perfectly 'clear' and charming style every time!
