When I went to gov ball in NY!!!!

I went to Gov ball in the beginning of june and it was so much fun but ill honestly never go back! I went last year and there was so many problems my friends and I got there so late. Unless you live in the city or have a really good way of transportation it’s extremely difficult to get here. This year my friends and I took a train from Jersey to New York then had to take another train to Meadows Park, taking 4 trains each day is not ideal. I loved loved loved every moment and wish I got it on video but my phone was dead the entire time. So definitely bring a portable if you plan on going. Also go EARLY!!! my friends and I missed a bunch of shows we wanted to see because of the transportation times and just trying to get there so if you have someone you want to see get there 2 hours before they go on!!! #lemon8diarychallenge

It's typically held in June, and as I mentioned, it’s currently at Flushing Meadows Corona Park. It's not just about the music; it’s a whole experience with art installations, amazing food vendors, and that quintessential NYC festival vibe. Imagine thousands of people, all with their unique festival 'fit' and 'makeup' looks, gathering to celebrate music. The energy from the 'crowd' is infectious, and seeing your favorite 'performers' live on those massive stages is truly unforgettable. Now, let's talk about the big one: 'VIP Gov Ball.' Many people wonder if splurging on VIP tickets is truly worth the extra cost, and after experiencing the general admission 'crowd' and the transportation challenges myself, I can definitely see the appeal. VIP tickets usually offer a range of perks designed to make your festival experience more comfortable and, dare I say, luxurious. Think separate, expedited entrances – a huge time-saver when you're trying to get in and catch an early set! These areas usually have private bars with shorter lines, as well as cleaner, air-conditioned restrooms – a game-changer, especially by 'day 2' or 'day 3' of the festival when you're feeling a bit worn out! While my experience was general admission, I can only imagine how much smoother my journey might have been if I had those VIP comforts.
