🍒 Up Close or Slow Burn?! Which name is it? 👀

Okay besties, Beauty Detective Bree is backkkk 🔎✨

So here’s the tea — this does appear to be a REAL upcoming Athena Club product with REAL scent notes. The part we’re still trying to figure out is the official name. Right now, I’m torn between Up Close and Slow Burn for this scent. 👀

And honestly, either way… these could potentially be two products we’re getting now or sometime in the future, which makes this even more exciting. 👏🏽

The notes we’ve seen are:

🍒 Black Cherry

🍭 Cotton Candy

✨ Amber

🍬 Powdered Sugar

💜 Violet

Y’all already know I LOVE doing this beauty detective stuff because most of the time I’m right 😭 but let me be real, sometimes I do get it wrong too lol. That’s part of the fun of trying to piece it all together before the official reveal.

Disclaimer: the image shown is an AI-generated mockup of a possible real product. The product and notes are real/potentially upcoming, but the mockup itself is just for fun while we try to figure out the final official name and presentation.

So now I need to know, besties — are we feeling:

Team Up Close ❤️

or

Team Slow Burn 🔥

And what do we think about these notes because babyyyy this sounds amazing no matter what the final name ends up being. 😍

... Read moreAs someone who loves discovering new fragrances, I’m really intrigued by Athena Club’s upcoming scent that’s being teased under the names Up Close and Slow Burn. The combination of black cherry, cotton candy, amber, powdered sugar, and violet sounds like a truly gourmand yet sophisticated blend. From personal experience, scents with those rich, sweet notes paired with floral violet tend to offer a warm, comforting feel that lasts well through the day. What excites me most about this product is its dual nature—soft and sweet yet with a hint of smoky amber, suggesting it could be versatile enough for different moods or seasons. I’ve tried similar scent profiles in the past, and they usually strike the perfect balance between playful and elegant, which makes me believe this Athena Club launch will be a hit among fragrance lovers. Also, given the speculation around whether it’s one fragrance with two possible names or two distinct products, it keeps things fresh and engaging for us beauty fans who love to be in the know and part of the reveal journey. If you’re into body and hair mists that offer layered scent experiences, this is definitely something to watch. Personally, I lean towards Team Up Close because it suggests intimacy and sweetness, which matches well with the powdery and candy notes listed. But Slow Burn could hint at a deeper, more sultry interpretation, thanks to the amber. Either way, I look forward to getting my hands on the final product and patch testing it to really understand how these notes unfold on the skin. If you’re debating between the two, I’d recommend thinking about the vibe you want from your fragrance — airy and flirtatious or warm and lingering. Don’t forget to keep an eye on Beauty Detective Bree’s updates because getting the scoop directly from her is not only fun but also reliable! Plus, AI-generated mockups like the one shared are helpful for visualizing what’s to come, even if they’re not the final look. Here’s to exciting new fragrance launches and the joy of discovery in the beauty community!
