Rating our Tonie collection 1-10

My kids absolutely love the story-rich Tonies like Miguel from Coco and Mirabel from Encanto – those 10/10 ratings are well-deserved because they offer such immersive experiences, especially with the bilingual options. On the flip side, while characters like Paw Patrol are universally loved (mine rate them 7/10), sometimes the sound can be a bit much. And for some, like Moana or Doc McStuffins, the ratio of songs to actual story might mean you're hitting that skip button more often than you'd like. Consider your child's age and evolving interests. For younger ones, the 'My first Tonies' (like the white cow or red vehicle) are fantastic for gentle introductions, though I found vehicles weren't a huge hit for my 1-year-old. For older kids, stepping up to something like the National Geographic series (our octopus Tonie is an 8/10!) or even Willy Wonka for a chapter audiobook experience is brilliant. It expands their world beyond just character stories and keeps the Toniebox relevant for years. To really maximize your Toniebox, think about organization and rotation. Seeing our collection displayed on shelves makes it easy for the kids to choose, and it also encourages them to engage more. Sometimes, putting a few Tonies away for a month or two and then bringing them back out makes them feel brand new!
