And how I rated them on Letterboxd 🍿

June and July have been so crazy so far that I forgot to make this post till just now!

But yes, we have kittens on the way. They are currently in the cover and Miss Nala is baking!

11 movies for June. Not too bad! 2 five stars 🤩

Final Destination 2

⭐️⭐️⭐️

The kills are getting so much better. The kid oh my

Also I love Noel what a nice surprise

Final Destination 3

⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is why I don’t really go on six flags rides well that and motion sickness

Luck of the Irish

Sorority Row

⭐️1/2

Cunty 2000s slasher what more can you say

The Final Destination

⭐️⭐️

Best part is the fact we get another dude having premonitions (love the girlys getting in the 2nd and 3rd though) and the opening was so cool

Very stiff honestly worst one so far

“I’ve been trying to kill myself all day”

Best line

Final Destination 5

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

The ending was so satisfying for what? Wow

Such a step up from the last entry. Character actors really made this movie way better.

Also how did they think that Candice was still alive 🤨 A human body can’t bend that way 😭

Sleepaway Camp

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

Iconic 80s slasher 🏕️

I have a soft spot for Ricky being protective for Angela

Ending is just way too iconic because well HELLO

Just found out this was shot upstate NY and many cast and crew from LI 🤩

Scream

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Meta Horror bop

Stu and Billy were lovers so happy pride to them 😌

Bloody Birthday

⭐️⭐️

Fuck them kids. Got to respect the killer leader Curtis and that’s evil damn smile 🫢

Past Lives

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

She still dreams in Korean 😭

Humbled me and reminded me that not everything gets a happy ending 🥹

SEE🥺YOU🥺THEN🥺

Scream 2

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

Solid sequel. Wish they didn’t have to change the premise/killers because of real life and leaks.

The aerial shot of Sidney walking at the end makes me giggle

Randy shouldn’t have died btw (so minus 1/2 a ⭐️)

Friday the 13th

⭐️⭐️

Had to watch because it’s Friday June 13th

But it’s so boring lolol

Love a baddie in a sweater though 🤩

Trick ‘r Treat

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Best anthology horror film I’ve seen so far

Plus I love Sam he’s so cute we can hang out and I’ll put him in my pocket. I respect Halloween so we would be cool 🎃

... Read moreIt's so fun to share my movie watch lists, and honestly, Letterboxd has become my go-to for tracking everything! It's more than just a place to rate films; it's a vibrant community where you can discover so many hidden gems and get recommendations tailored to your taste. I often find myself diving into other users' lists and looking at what movies are trending based on their ratings. It’s a game-changer for finding your next binge-watch, whether you're into critically acclaimed dramas or just looking for a fun slasher film like the ones I mentioned! When it comes to giving out stars, I definitely have my own little 'rating curve' going on. For me, a 3-star rating means I enjoyed the movie, it was solid, but maybe not something I'd rewatch immediately. A 5-star, like for 'Scream' or 'Trick 'r Treat,' means it absolutely blew me away, left a lasting impression, or was just perfectly executed for its genre. Sometimes, even a cult classic that's a bit rough around the edges, like 'Sleepaway Camp,' can get a higher rating from me if it has iconic moments or hits me just right. I think everyone's rating system is a bit personal, and that's the beauty of Letterboxd – you get to see so many different perspectives and find users whose tastes align with yours. I've heard people talk about how some movies, like 'Barbie' or 'The Elixir,' get such polarized ratings, and it's fascinating to read through the varying opinions to understand why. One of my favorite things about Letterboxd is how easy it is to get recommendations based on ratings, not just from my friends, but from the wider community. You can literally sort by average rating, or check out popular lists. If I'm ever stuck on what to watch, I'll usually browse the 'highest rated' in a specific genre, or even look at what movies are popular during a certain month. It helps broaden my horizons beyond just the big blockbuster movie posters. It’s also a fantastic way to keep a personal diary of your cinematic journey. Knowing that I can log every movie I watch, and even track how many films I've seen in a year, makes the experience so much more engaging. Movie nights at home have become even cozier since we found Nala, our sweet prego cat! She's been a lovely, albeit sleepy, companion for many of my recent watches. It's funny how a comfortable environment and good company can sometimes even enhance the movie-watching experience. Whether you're watching alone, with friends, or with a furry friend, having a platform like Letterboxd to document those moments and share your thoughts just adds another layer of enjoyment to being a film lover. So next time you're wondering what to watch, or just want to see what others are saying about a movie you just saw, give Letterboxd a try!

I wouldn’t say that found footage movies are my favorite, I tend to get annoyed with the movement and usually the narrator can be unreliable. Often times, too, it feels like a cheap trick to sell a movie. but every so often I watch a found footage movie that I love and I can’t stop raving about! he
