It’s a no for me. #hanamohomecafe #dallasmatcha #dfwmatcha #matchreview #matchamami
If you are a matcha enthusiast or just curious about local spots in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, I wanted to share a bit more about my experience trying out the matcha at Hanamo Home Cafe. While I usually enjoy trying new matcha variations, this visit left me feeling a bit disappointed. The flavors, including an unusual tiramisu-inspired matcha and hints of sea salt, were interesting but didn’t quite blend well to create a balanced taste. It’s always exciting when cafes innovate with ingredients like strawberry or egg in their matcha recipes, but sometimes the execution can fall short. I also noticed that the texture of the matcha was thicker than I usually appreciate, which might appeal to some but was a bit overpowering for me. The ambiance of the cafe was pleasant, but for me, taste is the bottom line. The matcha scene in Dallas is growing, and there are plenty of places experimenting with unique ingredients. I recommend exploring different cafes if you’re in the area, especially if you’re interested in trying matcha with a twist. Just be cautious about expectations; not every innovative flavor combination hits the mark. If you are keen on traditional matcha experiences, I’d suggest looking for places that focus on high-quality ingredients and perfecting the standard recipes first. However, trying out new flavor profiles like tiramisu or sea salt might be worth it if you’re open to unique tastes. Overall, this was a learning experience for me, and while Hanamo Home Cafe wasn’t my favorite, I appreciate their creativity and hope they continue to refine their offerings in the vibrant Dallas matcha community.
