How do you escape?
When the world gets loud, I build something small and peaceful.
Escaping doesn’t always mean leaving — sometimes it means creating a calm space around you, brick by brick.

When life feels overwhelming, finding a way to escape without physically leaving your space can be incredibly grounding. I’ve personally found that engaging in creative activities such as building with bricks—whether Lego or other materials—provides a therapeutic outlet. It’s amazing how focusing on something small and detailed can block out external chaos and help center your mind. Creating calm piece by piece allows for a meditative experience. The repetitive action of placing one brick at a time can soothe anxiety, giving a sense of control and accomplishment that can easily get lost in everyday stress. Through this practice, I’ve noticed enhanced mental clarity and a greater appreciation for the present moment. Moreover, these peaceful hobbies tap into the joy of reconnecting with our inner child and spark imagination. It not only fosters creativity but also supports emotional healing by redirecting attention away from overwhelming thoughts to something constructive and beautiful. Whether it's building a tiny fortress or recreating a favorite game scene, the act of building brings a form of mindfulness that refreshes the spirit. This is a gentle reminder that sometimes the best escape is within ourselves, constructed thoughtfully, brick by brick.
