God Anoints the Faithful: Elijah’s Powerful Calling
God looks for faithful people, and once he finds them, he will anoint them. And here he finds a man who is faithful, plowing, praying. And now, you know, notice Elijah had a very dirty position. It says here he was plowing with 12 yoke of oxen in front of him. Can you imagine this position he was in? He was at the end of a team of oxen.
Here's dust and dirt thrown at him. He was not exactly presentable when Elijah met him and placed his mantle upon him.
