More Estate Sale finds 💕
Went to about 4 different estate sales over the weekend and found some gems I wanted to share 🫶🏻
honestly didn’t expect to find so much considering the pictures I saw online, but just comes to show you can’t judge an estate sale just by the pictures you see posted!
A good tip for estate sales is to read the description because that can give a better idea of what you kneed might find! A lot of times most things aren’t even listed.
Also go for the areas you know will have good items!
Location is usually everything.

Estate sales are truly a treasure hunt, and I always feel a thrill when I unearth something amazing that wasn't even hinted at in the online photos. My recent weekend adventures were no exception, proving once again that you can’t judge an estate sale by its cover. Here are some of my top tips for making your next estate sale haul a success, focusing on how to find those elusive hidden gems and even luxury estate sale finds! 1. Master the Art of Research: Beyond the Pretty Pictures While the main photos online might showcase larger items, the real clues for hidden gems and luxury finds are often in the detailed description. Look for keywords like “designer clothing,” “antique furniture,” “collectible items,” or specific brand names. These are hints that higher-value items might be present, even if they're not prominently displayed. Sometimes, the most valuable pieces, like an ornate gold-rimmed mirror or a delicate Lenox kitten figurine, are only mentioned in passing or not shown at all. 2. The Early Bird Gets the Luxury Find For the absolute best selection, especially if you’re hoping to snag unique or more luxurious items, arriving early on the first day is crucial. The most coveted pieces, such as vintage gold chain necklaces, unique butterfly hair clips, or a beautiful faux fur coat, tend to go quickly. Getting there early gives you the first pick and increases your chances of finding those truly special items before anyone else. 3. Unleash Your Inner Detective: The Art of the Dig Don't be afraid to respectfully explore every corner of the sale. Some of my best finds, like a classic white shoulder bag, a brown quilted wallet, or a silver belt with seashell buckles, have been tucked away in drawers, overlooked shelves, or even in less-frequented areas like the garage or basement. Look beyond what's immediately visible; the real hidden gems often require a little digging. You might even find a set of charming antique-style pencil sharpeners or a unique white rectangular pillow with ruffled edges that adds character to your home. 4. Know What to Seek: Spotting Value in the Unexpected Keep an eye out for quality materials and craftsmanship. For fashion, check labels for designer brands or natural fibers like silk, wool, or linen on items like a pink blouse with pearl buttons or a long white dress. For home decor, look for unique or handcrafted items. Small collectibles, such as those miniature sharpeners, or a distinct lace hand fan can hold surprising value. Don’t dismiss smaller items like gold pins; they can be unique and valuable additions to your collection. 5. Patience Can Pay Off: The Bargaining Game While getting a head start is great for selection, patience can sometimes lead to better prices, especially later in the sale. If an item, like a specific piece of jewelry or a unique patterned vest, catches your eye but seems a bit pricey, you might consider returning on the last day when prices are often discounted. Polite negotiation can also lead to a fantastic deal on a luxury item that becomes your personal hidden gem.

You have some great estate sales near you. I barely find anything and they’re always priced so high!
