🌸 To all the first-time mamas out there 🌸

From a 29-year-old navigating this beautiful chaos myself, let’s be real—motherhood is no joke. When they say “you’ll learn as you go,” they aren’t kidding. Here’s a little love note to you, because I see you.

✨ The early struggles are real:

Let’s talk about those sleepless nights, where you’re running on fumes and coffee, trying to figure out if your baby is crying because they’re hungry, gassy, tired—or all three. (What’s a schedule again?) It’s trial and error, and that’s okay. Trust me, you’ll crack the code—eventually.

✨ Navigating relationships:

If you’re married, it’s like learning how to be a team all over again. You’re tired, emotional, and suddenly the dishes feel like a personal attack. If you’re rocking it solo, you’re the whole team, and that’s a whole different level of strength. Either way, give yourself grace.

✨ Hormones and brain fog:

No one prepared me for the whirlwind of emotions after delivery. One moment, I was crying because my baby sneezed (adorable, right?), and the next, I felt like I wasn’t doing enough. Add in “mom brain,” and you’re basically living in a sitcom.

✨ Breastfeeding struggles:

If you chose to breastfeed, you probably realized it’s not as “natural” as they make it sound. Learning how to latch, dealing with sore nipples, or feeling like a human vending machine—it’s a lot. And if it didn’t work out? That’s okay, too. Fed is best, mama.

✨ Learning your baby:

Every baby is different, and that’s both comforting and overwhelming. You’ll start to recognize their little cues—their hungry cry, tired fuss, or “just hold me” moments. It takes time, but your instincts will kick in, I promise.

So here’s the truth: Motherhood isn’t picture-perfect—it’s messy, emotional, and the hardest thing I’ve ever done. But every giggle, cuddle, and milestone reminds me why it’s worth it. You’re not alone, and you’re doing amazing—even on the days you don’t feel like it. 💕

... Read moreMotherhood is a complex journey filled with challenges, but it's also a rewarding experience that shapes us in profound ways. Many first-time mamas encounter struggles such as sleep deprivation, emotional fluctuations, and learning their baby’s needs. Dealing with hormones and 'mom brain' is a shared experience among new moms, who often feel overwhelmed yet determined to adapt. Breastfeeding can pose its own challenges, often requiring patience and practice. It's crucial for moms to understand that choosing to breastfeed or not is a personal choice, and ‘fed is best’ should be the ultimate goal. Furthermore, the relationship dynamics can shift; partners must learn to support each other as they navigate this new phase together. Solo parents might experience an intensified sense of responsibility, but they also showcase remarkable strength and resilience. Embracing the messiness of motherhood means accepting that perfection is unattainable. The beauty lies in recognizing each milestone, cuddle, and laugh along the way. Community support is vital—encouraging conversations, sharing experiences, and offering advice can strengthen bonds amongst moms. This journey, while challenging, reveals the depth of love and connection between a mother and her child, making every struggle worthwhile.

Motherhood really is the biggest change that you'll go through in life. It doesn't just change your life, but it changes you as a person completely. You won't leave motherhood in the same way you walked into it.

Yes I have two boys so it’s always crazy and wild at my house… I can’t imagine others with more kids lol because I struggled when I had my first baby. But I wanted to try for a girl so no more trying. I’m just looking forward to spending more quality time with them now. Time split between two kids is a lot already. 😅
