As a parent to a child with special needs, the greatest supports and resources you will find will always be from other parents of children with special needs. There have been so many days, weeks, and months, maybe years where I felt so incredibly lost and alone. Like no one understood. Unfortunately unless you have walked in our shoes, I don’t expect anyone to understand. It has always been the community of parents fighting the same battles who have maintained my sanity and reminded me I’m not alone. Get involved in your community and seek out others.
