My Christmas wish

My Christmas Wish
This year I don’t wish for lights or snow,
I wish for peace in the undertow.
For steady hands, a calmer mind,
for strength that isn’t hard to find.
I’ve carried weight I couldn’t show,
smiled through storms nobody knows.
Bills stack high, the nights run long,
I’ve learned to break and still stay strong.
I’ve been a woman with cracks inside,
still stood tall for those I love.
Fought my fear, swallowed my pride,
prayed for answers from above.
This Christmas, let me rise again,
not overnight, just step by step.
Let progress teach me who I am,
not guilt, regret, or who I was then.
I wish for calm when chaos calls,
for discipline when focus falls.
To build, not bolt, when pressure’s near,
to face my doubts instead of fear.
Let me be solid, let me be true,
the kind of man that follows through.
Someone my family can depend,
not bending till I break again.
I don’t need gold, I don’t need praise,
I don’t need to erase my yesterdays.
I need my feet firm on the ground,
a future felt, not just dreamed about.
If Christmas means a life reborn,
then let it start this quiet morn.
No fireworks, no grand display—
just strength that grows day by day.
That’s my wish beneath this tree:
to rise above what’s weighing me,
to stabilize the woman l am,
and stand rebuilt by my own hands.
