My Christmas wish is that, at a time when most of us have time off, gather with family, and try to catch our breath, someone would also think of those who spend the holidays at work.
Of people on duty — in hospitals, hospices, ambulances, uniformed services, care work, transport, energy, or retail.
Of caregivers who stay with their patients during the holidays, and of those who are alone because life has taken a different turn.
For many people, this is not a time of rest, but simply service or another difficult day.
And it would be good to remember that — even if only for a moment. #lemon8christmas
