Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

2 sticks softened butter

3/4 Cup packed light brown sugar

1 Cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 Tablespoon pure vanilla

3 1/2 Cups all purpose flour

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

10 oz bag chocolate chips

1 bag Oreo Cookies, I used the double stuff

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a stand or electric mixer cream butter and sugars until well combined.

Add in eggs and vanilla until well combined.

2. In a separate bowl mix the flour, salt and baking soda. Slowly add to wet ingredients along with

chocolate chips until just combined. Using a cookie scoop take one scoop of cookie dough and place on

top of an Oreo Cookie. Take another scoop of dough and place on bottom of Oreo Cookie. Seal edges

together by pressing and cupping in hand until Oreo Cookie is enclosed with dough. Place onto a

parchment or silpat lined baking sheet and bake cookies 913 minutes or until cookies are baked to your

liking. Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling rack. Serve with a tall glass of milk, enjoy!

The combination of creamy Oreo filling encased in a buttery, chocolate-studded cookie creates a delightful contrast in textures and flavors. When making these, I found that using double-stuffed Oreos really boosts the creaminess and gives you a richer bite. Also, make sure the butter is softened to room temperature for easier creaming with the sugars, which helps create that ideal soft and chewy texture. One trick I've learned is to slightly chill the dough before baking. This prevents the cookie from spreading too much and helps keep the Oreo well-encased during baking. Baking times can vary based on your oven, but watch for the edges to turn golden while the center remains soft for the best chewy consistency. Serving these cookies warm with a cold glass of milk is an unbeatable comfort treat. These cookies are quite large and rich, so they pair wonderfully with simple vanilla ice cream or even a drizzle of chocolate sauce if you want to go all out. Feel free to customize by adding chopped nuts for extra crunch or using different Oreo flavors such as mint or peanut butter to match your taste preference. Homemade Oreo stuffed cookies are not just perfect for casual snacking but also make a fun and impressive dessert for parties and gatherings.
