wealth by class- any thoughts?

Source: USAfacts.org

“Wealth is calculated by taking the value of assets people own and subtracting their debts. Assets include real estate, retirement accounts, businesses, and other financial investments. Household assets vary greatly across income groups; much middle-class wealth is tied up in real estate and retirement savings, while higher-income households often hold more in business equity and financial investments.”

... Read moreWealth distribution varies significantly across different income classes. In Q2 2024, households in the top 1% reported average wealth exceeding $27 million, starkly contrasting with the middle class, who averaged around $472,000. This disparity highlights how higher-income households often have substantial investments in businesses and financial assets compared to middle-class households primarily invested in real estate and retirement accounts. Understanding these dynamics is crucial for developing effective wealth-building strategies. Notably, the lower 20% of earners lag considerably, with average household wealth of just $178,419. This financial landscape calls into question the effectiveness of current wealth distribution policies and the need for informed financial decision-making among all classes. Engaging in money management and investing can pave paths toward improved financial health and wealth accumulation, fostering a more equitable future.

It’s very hard not to be jealous of those who have more. I think they should use it to help others but I also have conflicting feelings about enforcing it. I’m just sad overall that not everyone has this luxury.

I honestly don’t have any objective things to say about this. I’m all for people getting more money when they earn it but it’s also devastating and hard to comprehend that some people just don’t live in the same world as us. It would be a dream not to struggle with healthcare and food.
