The viral cortisol drink everyone is talking about

Okay I kept seeing clove water showing up on my social media with so many reasons why I should be drinking it. I happened to already have a ton of whole cloves so I figured why not try it!?

I’ve been drinking it every day this week and verdict? I’ll actually keep doing it. I don’t typically jump on all the trends, but I’m already a big herbal tea drinker and this one is obviously a really easy habit to keep up with!

I literally just steep 1 tsp of whole cloves in boiling water for 20-30 minutes and drink. I also really like adding a slice of fresh lemon for flavor and added liver benefits and hydration.

... Read moreClove water has recently gained popularity as a natural drink that may help support cortisol balance and overall wellbeing. Cortisol, known as the stress hormone, plays an essential role in regulating metabolism, immune response, and inflammation. Elevated cortisol levels over time can negatively impact skin health, digestion, and mental state. Steeping whole cloves in boiling water for 20 to 30 minutes extracts key compounds like eugenol, which are known for their anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties. These effects can contribute to clearer and more hydrated skin by reducing oxidative stress and supporting the body's natural detox pathways. Cloves also promote better digestion by stimulating digestive enzymes and reducing bloating and discomfort. Adding fresh lemon to clove water provides additional benefits. Lemon enhances flavor while boosting hydration and delivering vitamin C and antioxidants that promote liver detoxification and immune health. Together, clove water with lemon creates a soothing ritual that may calm the nervous system and alleviate stress symptoms. Unlike many trendy beverages, clove water is simple to prepare with few ingredients, making it easy to incorporate into daily routines. Drinking it both in the morning and before bed offers a gentle, non-caffeinated way to support relaxation and hormonal balance. While more research is needed to fully confirm clove water’s cortisol-lowering effects, anecdotal evidence from users highlights improved mood, reduced inflammation, and better skin clarity. As always, it is advisable to consult with a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have underlying health conditions. In summary, clove water may be a beneficial addition for those seeking natural ways to manage stress, enhance liver function, and improve skin and digestive health. Its accessibility and calming properties explain why this viral drink continues to attract health-conscious individuals worldwide.
