[ EVENT ] QUEENSLAND’S BIGGEST GREEK CELEBRATION RETURNS TO BRISBANE FOR A MASSIVE 50TH ANNIVERSARY FESTIVAL
Paniyiri is officially celebrating 50 years of culture, community, and food, taking over Musgrave Park and The Greek Club on Saturday, 23rd May and Sunday, 24th May. As Queensland’s largest Greek festival, it is expected to attract over 50,000 people across the weekend for a non-stop programme of traditional music, Hellenic dancing, and authentic flavours. It is a landmark milestone for the city, bringing together Greek associations and charities to showcase the very best of Hellenic heritage in the heart of South Brisbane.
THE FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS

GOOD TO KNOW
- Public transport is strongly recommended as parking in South Brisbane is extremely limited. Use the train to South Bank or the bus to the Cultural Centre.
- Grab yours via Oztix. Seniors and pensioners can access $5 tickets at the door with a valid card.
- You are welcome to bring picnic rugs and chairs to set up on the grass and settle in for the day.

The location spanning Musgrave Park and The Greek Club creates a unique indoor-outdoor setting where families and friends can relax on picnic rugs or chairs and enjoy the festivities rain or shine. The inclusion of diverse sessions such as the Chroma & Krasi paint and sip event and the premium Lamb Degustation adds a refined touch, offering opportunities to engage with Greek culture in new, creative ways. For families, the Kids Kouzina cooking classes provide a fun, hands-on experience for children to connect with their cultural roots by making traditional Tiropita. Public transport access is well thought out, considering the high visitor turnout and limited parking, making it easy and convenient to attend.
