Six months after the crowds turned out for its New Farm debut, Sydney-born Johnny Gio’s has landed a second Brisbane store, this time on the Nash Street strip in Rosalie. The Rosalie kitchen runs the same menu as New Farm: hand-stretched bases fired in an authentic brick oven, imported Italian ingredients and a run of signature pizzas the brand built its name on down the east coast. It gives the western suburbs their own slice of the “dat pizza guy” treatment without the trip across town.
