ORIGIN STORY of my EXPERIENCE with SANTA MUERTE
About 3 years ago, I started going deep into my spirituality. I had no guidance from no one, no one who can lead me into any direction. In my room I lit some incense and prayed, crying for anyone, anyone out there in the higher realm to hear the sincerity of my heart.
Time passed and didn’t think anything about it. The way my bed was situated was the end of the bed had the door that lead to the living room, to the right was SLIDING GLASS CLOSET, and to the left was my bureau where I had my altar. Usually before bed I extinguished the candle but something told me to leave it on. Got a bowl of water and submerged the candle in it (Grandma taught me that from the islands).
Went to bed with my 2 cats snd around 3am I had to go to the bathroom. Door was locked and around both sides of the doorknobs was rosaries dipped in holy water that I received from Jerusalem. Looked at the cats, sound asleep but caught a glimpse of something in the sliding glass mirror. Looked like a small, grim reaper was standing in front of my altar looking at the candle. Scared shitless I looked at the candle add look back at the mirror, it was gone. I said hell no I’m not getting out this bed until the morning.
Morning comes and started doing research on grim reapers. We all know from movies and tv shows that they escort the souls to the other side but this one didn’t pay me any attention as if I wasn’t there. And what threw the whole thing off is that it was small, like my Grandma small (she’s 5’1” by the way). Then I came across Santa Muerte and I was like that is what I saw!!! That is exactly what I saw in my room!!
I would not say I am a devotee of hers but I am a follower of her teachings and imply it to my everyday life. If you have stories about experiences with her, please share it. Let’s educate people who don’t know the history of her or have a misconception from other religions.
