My 1st Sand + Fog Oil 🫤
I dont like it... it smells sharp like a funeral home

This not my type of Amber....
When trying Sand+Fog's Vanilla & Amber Eau de Parfum Oil for the first time, it’s important to keep in mind that fragrance perception is deeply personal. Some people expect vanilla and amber to deliver a warm, cozy aroma, but this particular blend has a sharper, more pungent character that might remind some of less pleasant odors, like a funeral home's atmosphere, as experienced firsthand. In my experience, the amber note here isn't the typical sweet or resinous amber but comes off as sharp and somewhat medicinal. This might be due to the specific formulation or the oil concentration used in this perfume, which can bring out harsher facets of traditionally warm notes. Users who favor soft, sweet amber or classic vanilla might find this blend challenging. For anyone interested in trying this fragrance, consider testing it on your skin before making a commitment, as body chemistry can significantly alter how scents develop and linger. Layering with other fragrances or applying a moisturizer beforehand might soften its sharpness. This scent could appeal more to those who enjoy unconventional or bold ambers with a twist, but if your preference leans toward mellow, comforting ambers, there are many other vanilla and amber perfumes on the market that might better align with your tastes. Brands often offer replicate rich, sweet amber notes without the clinical sharpness some users experience with this one. Overall, it’s a great reminder that fragrance exploration is subjective, and sharing honest reviews helps others make informed choices when navigating the vast world of perfumes.

Have yoy experienced the dry down? You must apply and allow it to mesh with your body chemistry and dry down. This is my favorite Sand & Fog. I often use to top off my layering combo and it enhances my scent trail.
