Flight of the Hippogriff
Nothing like flying over #hogwartscastle on the back of #hippogriff.
Okay, so I just HAVE to talk about the sheer magic of finally taking flight on a hippogriff in Hogwarts Legacy! If you've been wondering what it's truly like, let me tell you – it's an absolute game-changer. The moment you soar into the sky, leaving the familiar cobbled paths of the Hogwarts Grounds below, you're immediately transported into the heart of the wizarding world. One of the first things that struck me was the incredible sense of freedom. Gliding effortlessly above Hogwarts Castle, seeing every intricate detail of the architecture from a bird's-eye view, is breathtaking. You can spot hidden courtyards, watch students scurrying like tiny ants, and truly appreciate the sheer scale of the castle. But it's not just about the castle! Exploring the vast South Hogwarts Region from above gives you a completely new perspective on the game's beautiful open world. I loved swooping through valleys, over shimmering lakes, and past ancient ruins that I'd previously only seen from the ground. It really makes exploration feel fresh and exciting, even in areas you thought you knew well. For those curious about how to get your own feathered friend, it's generally tied into your main story progression. Without giving too much away, you'll encounter a questline that introduces you to these magnificent creatures and, eventually, gives you the ability to summon one as your mount. It's a truly rewarding experience, and totally worth the wait! Make sure to follow the main quests, and you'll soon be soaring alongside me. Once you have your hippogriff, learning to fly is surprisingly intuitive. The controls feel natural, allowing you to ascend, descend, and glide with ease. My biggest tip? Don't rush! Take your time to simply explore. I spent ages just circling the castle at different altitudes, taking in the sunset, or diving dramatically towards the Black Lake. It’s a fantastic way to discover hidden areas or simply enjoy the gorgeous scenery without the pressure of combat or quests. Plus, it's a fantastic way to travel quickly across longer distances without relying solely on the Floo Network. Another thing I appreciated is how the game captures the essence of a hippogriff – majestic, proud, and requiring respect, just like in the books. You really feel a bond with your creature as you embark on adventures together. It makes traversal across the map so much more enjoyable than fast travel. Whether you're a proud Slytherin like me, or from any other house, the thrill of riding a hippogriff is something every player should experience. It truly elevates the immersion and makes you feel like a genuine witch or wizard living out your Hogwarts dreams. Seriously, if you're playing Hogwarts Legacy, don't miss out on the incredible experience of flying high with your hippogriff!
