Workout Reset
It’s been almost 20 months since I’ve been intentional and consistent about my workout routine. In June, I set out to do two workouts a week, every week of the month! I’m proud to report that I did in fact exceed my goal! I had two weeks last month where I clocked three workouts!! Heading into July, the new goal is 3 workouts a week, EVERY week! Let’s get it!

Restarting a workout routine after a long gap can feel daunting, but setting clear, achievable goals really helped me stay on track. When I decided to do two workouts a week consistently, it served as a manageable target that kept me motivated without overwhelming me. I found that tracking my progress week by week made a big difference—it’s rewarding to see tangible improvements, whether it's increased endurance or simply feeling more energetic. For those looking to reset their fitness routine, I recommend incorporating a variety of workouts to keep things interesting. Mixing strength training, cardio, and flexibility exercises helped me avoid burnout and kept my body challenged. Also, planning workouts around your weekly schedule and setting reminders helps create a habit. Another important factor is listening to your body. Some days are tougher than others, and it's okay to adjust your intensity or rest accordingly. Staying consistent over time truly compounds benefits—not just physically, but mentally, boosting overall confidence and well-being. In my experience, community support and sharing progress, like through fitness forums or social media tags such as #fitnessjourneymotivation and #workoutroutine, provides extra encouragement. If you’re aiming to increase your workout frequency like me, start with small incremental changes and celebrate every achievement. Remember, the goal is sustainable growth and enjoying the journey toward a healthier lifestyle.
