Milos is a captivating island in the Cyclades renowned for its unique landscape and vibrant coastal culture. The moonlike Sarakiniko beach, formed by smooth white volcanic rocks, offers a surreal setting perfect for photography and swimming. Taking a boat trip to Kleftiko caves is a must-do activity, where you can admire stunning sea caves and crystal-clear waters ideal for snorkeling. For sunset lovers, Plaka village with its ancient castle provides breathtaking panoramic views of the Aegean Sea and charming island architecture. Klima stands out with its colorful fisherman houses known as 'syrmata'—these are traditionally painted boathouses right by the water, reflecting the island’s fishing heritage. The relaxed beaches of Firiplaka and Firopotamos provide excellent spots for sunbathing and swimming, each with unique scenery from cliff backdrops to quaint fishing harbors. History enthusiasts will appreciate the ancient catacombs and the open-air theatre in Trypiti, which showcase the island’s rich archaeological heritage. Lastly, no trip to Milos is complete without savoring fresh seafood. Medusa restaurant in Mandrakia is particularly famous for its authentic octopus dishes and fresh catches, providing a true taste of Mediterranean cuisine.
