We are instructed to Pray "LIKE" this. The Lords Prayer is given to us as a example of how to pray and if you notice, Its mostly about giving God praise, asking for a need, then mostly/mainly praying for OTHERS.

From my own experience, praying using the structure of the Lord's Prayer has truly transformed my spiritual life. When Jesus taught this prayer, He emphasized starting with praise and reverence for God’s holiness and His kingdom. This first step helps center my heart and mind on God’s greatness before presenting my requests. One important aspect I’ve learned is the focus on praying for others. Instead of making prayer only about what I want or need, interceding for others helps nurture compassion and aligns my desires with God’s will. It also reminds me of the importance of forgiveness and releasing judgment, as Jesus mentioned in Matthew 6:12-15. Holding onto unforgiveness can hinder my prayers, so this practice encourages me to cultivate a forgiving heart continually. Another personal insight is how the prayer acknowledges daily needs with "Give us today the food we need." It reminds me to trust God daily rather than worrying about tomorrow. Including this in my prayers helps me develop faith and depend on God's provision. Lastly, the Lord’s Prayer ends with a plea for guidance to avoid temptation and protection from evil. I find this part vital as it acknowledges spiritual battles and encourages reliance on God’s strength. Overall, incorporating these elements into my prayer routine creates a balanced approach — praising God, aligning with His will, caring for others, trusting Him for daily needs, practicing forgiveness, and seeking protection. I encourage anyone wanting to deepen their prayer life to use the Lord's Prayer as a guide, adapting it to your own words and situations while keeping these core principles in mind.
