Hey Lemon8 fam! It's Brittany here, and I'm so thrilled you stopped by to learn a little more about me! Beyond just being new to this amazing community, I’m excited to share more daily glimpses into my world and connect with fellow enthusiasts. Many of you might be curious about my unique job – yes, I literally hand-write on Christmas ornaments! It truly feels like a Hallmark movie sometimes, bringing personalized joy to so many. I got into it through a passion for calligraphy and a love for the holiday season. The detail and care that goes into each ornament are something I genuinely cherish, and I'll definitely be sharing some behind-the-scenes peeks at my artistic process, perhaps even some satisfying time-lapses, and maybe even some tips on hand-lettering for those who want to try a new craft. As an artist, I love exploring various mediums, from digital illustrations to traditional painting, and I'm always crafting cozy, spooky-themed décor for my home. Expect to see some of my latest creations and perhaps even some DIYs that embrace those perfectly balanced vibes! Coffee isn't just a drink for me; it's a ritual, a comfort, and often the fuel for my creative sessions! I'm always on the hunt for the perfect brew, from a robust dark roast to a delicate latte, and enjoy trying out new coffee shops in my area and when traveling. You'll often find me with a warm mug in hand, whether I'm sketching new ideas, diving into a good book, or just cuddling up with my incredible wife, Shawnna. Speaking of Shawnna, we tied the knot on a truly memorable Friday the 13th, October 13, 2023, at the very coffee shop where we first met – talk about a full-circle, serendipitous moment! It was absolutely magical. And of course, I can't forget our magnificent seven! Our fur family brings so much life, love, and a healthy dose of chaos to our home. We have our three wonderful dogs: the ever-so-loyal Nakoma, the playful Sirzius, and our sweet, goofy Bean. Complementing our canine crew are our four curious and independent cats: Ashe, Honey, Ollie, and the mischievous Aggie. Each one has such a distinct personality, and they are truly at the heart of our home. I can't wait to introduce you to each of them individually in future posts, sharing their funny quirks, pet-friendly adventures, and our tips for managing a multi-pet household. From cozy evenings in watching movies (with a pet pile-up, of course!) to outdoor explorations, they're a huge, furry part of my life.
