My heart hurts
My heart hurts for this country.
I first stopped going to church because I didn’t like the ideologies of the church I grew up in, their beliefs and mine just didn’t mix anymore. That one quote from Rhett and Link always hits home “your kids aren’t leaving the church because you didn’t teach them well enough. Your kids are leaving the church because you taught them to well.”
My journey into Christian Witchcraft has started me rebuilding my relationship with Christ to what it was when I was a child, I walk with him and like him. I don’t judge others I stand for those less fortunate, I fight for those who have nothing. But “Christians” today have found a false idol who they worship and say that they are following the words of Christ but I don’t think they have actually read the words of Christ to find what they are doing is not Christlike at all.
Finding God again can be a complex journey, especially when faced with the overwhelming misunderstandings within the broader Christian community. Many individuals feel disheartened by the discrepancies between the true teachings of Christ and the actions of those who Identify as followers. Re-examining our relationship with faith often involves shedding the constraints of traditional ideologies while embracing a more personal connection with the divine. The rise of movements such as Christian Witchcraft highlights the diversity in spiritual practices, allowing believers to forge unique pathways to reconnect with their faith. These modern expressions can provide solace and a sense of belonging for those disillusioned by conventional religious frameworks. It's vital to approach this subject with an open heart, recognizing the value of differing beliefs while maintaining a commitment to compassion and justice. In today's context, re-evaluating what it means to be a believer involves not just embracing personal interpretations but also advocating for those who are marginalized and oppressed. As we navigate these waters, let us aspire to embody the virtues of love and empathy that Christ preached, standing firm against the false idols that often overshadow genuine spirituality.
