During my trip to Norfolk and Virginia Beach, I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott (Downtown Norfolk), which had a prime location but left much to be desired with its outdated rooms and service. Despite my hotel experience, I made the most of my time by visiting the beach, where I found solace in the sound of the waves, even with less than perfect weather. A standout moment was lunch at Hell's Kitchen—I savored a buffalo chicken wrap paired with mac & cheese, which was simply delightful. The vibrant ambiance made it a must-visit spot. The natural beauty of spring was on full display with stunning cherry blossoms blooming throughout downtown Norfolk, creating a picturesque scene. Post-court sessions allowed me some leisure time to explore downtown, including a trip to the Nauticus museum, fascinated by the ships on display. For dinner, I dined with colleagues at Capo Capo, enjoying vodka rigatoni, although the meal was just average. This work trip was a mix of challenges and memorable experiences, showcasing the charm of Norfolk and the relaxing vibe of Virginia Beach.
