In case no one has told you yet; I'm proud of you

The holidays can be full of joy, but it can also suck the life right out of you.

I lost my mom in 2012, and my grandma in 2022. They ADORED Christmas. And it doesn't feel like Christmas without it.

Every holiday season I grit my teeth and try to make it through because I want to make this season magical for my 3 and 5 year old. But there is a very large part of me that doesn't want to celebrate at all. I would be completely ok with just burying my head under the cover until it passes.

If you feel the same way, I hope that there is some comfort and a lessening of guilt in knowing that you are not alone.
