What do you do when the husband has a job to complete this week? But it's out of town?
Well, I for one grab all our stuff and head out after him 😊. His job pays for his hotel when he goes out, all he has to do is choose what kind of room he wants. When the kids and I tag along he will make sure there is room for the rest of us. He always looks for pools year around. Summer is perfect for all the outdoor pools/ hot tubs! It's such a lovely perk 😊
As my role of the wife and mother, I make sure we have the necessities: clothes, bathing suits, toys, and of course a full week's worth of food. I brought the crockpot and the griddle too! Eating out for every meal isn't practical. The hotel breakfast wasn't bad so we did take advantage of that!
While Daddy is making that money, the kids and I find things to do during the day. My kiddos are water babies, we be in that pool most of the time! My see-through skin will burn to a crisp before becoming ashes in the sun. In an effort to balance their wants with my needs, I'll have my kids at a park or doing something artsy. We are a Lego and nerf family, we HAD to bring those toys this trip as well.
I was even able to meet up with my freshly adult sister and our momma this week! They wanted to take us to the bowling alley and help me with my car! How sweet 😍 So we did that this week as well. We had ALLLLL the family time this week.
The evenings are for the family. but once these kids are asleep, Hubby and I get to hang out outside. He always chooses/ requests a room close to the exits. Always thinking about our safety and efficiency (love it). Because of this set up, were able to go hang out without waking the kids or being too far from them. They had the back up phone if they woke up and needed us. This evening hang out time is crucial for us to maintain our relationship. We need at least an hour with each other. I love taking his shoes off and massaging his feet during these times. I try to take care of him every chance I get.
This week was a blast every single day! We all got to play AND hang out as a whole family every evening. What more can I ask for?
