Itās cold af outsideš„¶
My spread from this weekend. I canāt show my weekly because it is disgusting maybe Iāll do better next week.
Currently reading (for the 6th time) āfor colored girlsā by Ntozake Shage. Always an uplifting way to start the new year. I have read and notated this book multiple times and every new stage of my life that I read it in I find myself understanding more and more. Probably my favorite read ever. Iād love to see it live.
Next on my TBR is Pay the Piper by George A. Romero and Daniel Kraus. Idk something about the creepy otherworldly stuff has me in a bit of a chokehold rn.
In the winter months, many people seek comfort in reading and journaling. As the weather gets colder, creating a warm and inviting reading nook can help enhance your reading experience. Consider adding cozy blankets, warm drinks, and soft lighting to create an enjoyable atmosphere. āFor Colored Girlsā by Ntozake Shange is a poignant collection that resonates deeply with many readers, particularly during reflective times like the new year. Its themes of resilience and strength can provide both comfort and inspiration. If you're exploring other genres, 'Pay the Piper' by George A. Romero and Daniel Kraus mixes horror with deeply engaging narratives, likely appealing to readers who enjoy exploring the darker themes of life in literature. Additionally, keeping a journal during the winter can be a therapeutic way to process thoughts and emotions. It can help you set goals for the year or reflect on past experiences to understand personal growth. By implementing these practices, you invite creativity and introspection into your routine, making even the coldest months feel more enriching.
