... Read moreI know many parents wonder: Is Monster Jam really suitable for younger kids? Before our trip, I definitely had the same concerns about the noise and the crowds for my toddler. But after experiencing it, I can confidently say it's fantastic for the right kid! My daughter, who absolutely adores big, loud trucks, was mesmerized the entire time. Tips for Taking Little Ones to Monster Jam: 1. Ear Protection is a Must: This is non-negotiable! The monster trucks are incredibly loud. We brought kid-sized noise-canceling headphones, and they saved the day. My little one wore them comfortably and still enjoyed the roar of the engines without discomfort. It made a huge difference in her enjoyment and comfort throughout the show. 2. Choose Your Seats Wisely: We opted for seats a bit higher up, which gave us a great aerial view of the arena and all the action without being overwhelmed by the immediate dust and noise. It also made it easier for her to see everything, especially during those incredible backflips! Seeing the entire track layout and the trucks from above was a fantastic perspective for a child. 3. Pack Smart: Just like any outing with a toddler, snacks and drinks are crucial. My daughter loved sipping from her special blue cup with the Monster Jam logo, which made her feel even more part of the experience. Also, having her wear her Monster Jam shirt helped build her excitement even before we got there! A familiar comfort item can go a long way. 4. Manage Expectations: While the show is exciting, there might be downtime between stunts or during truck resets. Bring a small, quiet toy or be ready to chat about what's happening. The energy in the crowd, seeing all the other fans with their raised hands cheering, is contagious and helps keep spirits high. We talked about which truck was our favorite and what stunts they might do next. 5. The Drivers are Stars: Part of the thrill is seeing these incredible athletes in action. While my daughter was mostly focused on the trucks doing their amazing stunts, I loved seeing the crowd's reaction to fan favorites. For example, drivers like Krysten Anderson, one of the few female drivers, are absolutely inspiring. She drives Grave Digger, and seeing her command such a powerful machine is a testament to skill and determination. Even though my toddler might not grasp the individual drivers yet, the sheer spectacle of these skilled individuals controlling such massive vehicles adds another layer of excitement to the show. It truly is a memorable summer fun experience for the whole family! Don't hesitate if your kiddo loves action and excitement!
