Hi, my name is Faith and I live one hour east of Yellowstone outside of Cody, Wyoming. I can’t even begin to describe the beauty, the amazing, the unbelievable and the magical things that you can see and experience at Yellowstone. From wild animals such as wolves, elk, buffalo, grizzlies, badgers, wolverines, mountain lions, foxes, Bighorn Sheep, black bears and deer, to the beautiful and natural formations throughout the park. There are places that have geysers, such as the world famous, “Old Faithful” being at the top, Mud Pots, Hot Springs, waterfalls, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Icebox Canyon, Mineral Pools, cauldrons, Yellowstone Lake and then there is my favorite, the Grand Prismatic. Yellowstone National Park is in two states it’s in Wyoming and Montana. you can choose to go through one of its five gates. The southern gate is in Jackson, Wyoming; the East gate is outside of Cody Wyoming; the north east gate is outside of Mammoth, Montana: the north gate is at Gardiner, Montana and lastly, the West gate at West Yellowstone, Montana. You can spend a week there and see probably not even half probably even less than that. Yellowstone is a vast park with 2.2 million acres and it celebrated it 152nd anniversary anniversary in 2024.

If you ever get the opportunity to come to Yellowstone, plan to stay at least a week. There’s so much you can see and truly truly enjoy and I promise that you will not go home disappointed

One thing I do want to mention, please do not approach any of the animals as they truly are wild animals and can harm you even to death. We want your trip here to be enjoyable and fun and you get to see some amazing things but when you start to think that these are tame animals , they will teach you. They are not and I don’t want to see you get hurt. Also, one more thing ….if you go in Yellowstone, please do not go outside of the boardwalk. The park is on a thermal field and water and steam can get up to 200+ degrees and can burn your body to where you have no skin left, so please do not walk anywhere outside of the marked pathways or boardwalks.

I hope you come and I hope you enjoy what I get to enjoy all year long every year.

The park, established in 1872, was the first national park in the United States and continues to captivate millions of visitors each year. As you explore Yellowstone, don’t miss the iconic geothermal activity. Besides Old Faithful, other notable sites include the Grand Prismatic Spring, a colorful hot spring that showcases vibrant hues due to microbial life, and Norris Geyser Basin, the hottest geothermal area in the park. Wildlife watching is another highlight; you can encounter various species, including bison, elk, and bears, particularly in the Lamar Valley – known as the Serengeti of North America. For a remarkable experience, take the time to hike some of the park’s trails to get closer to the natural beauty. Trails range from easy strolls to challenging backcountry routes, ensuring that all visitors can find something suitable. Remember to adhere to park rules, especially concerning wildlife safety.
