Yummy Birra Burritos

How I made my Birra Burritos:

⭐️Ingredients⭐️

🌯3 lb Chuck Roast

🌯 1 EZ Birria Bomb

🌯Beef Stock

🌯 Onion

🌯 Cheese

🌯 Beef bouillon (optional)

🌯 Cilantro (optional)

1️⃣ Sear your meat

2️⃣ Toss seared meat into crock pot. Add broth, birria bomb, half of the onion, and some beef bouillon (I measured with my ❤️)

3️⃣ I let mine go on low for about 6-8 hours (we were gone longer than I had planned)

4️⃣ Remove meat and shred (should just fall apart!)

5️⃣ Dip tortilla in birria consume, add your cheese, meat, extra onions and cilantro if you like. Fry until slightly brown. (And honestly, if you're feeling lazy you don't even have to dip and fry, just pop them in the microwave to get the cheese all melts!)

From here, you can eat as is or add whatever toppings you'd like. I added sour cream to mine.

Enjoy!! 🥰🥰

... Read moreAfter making these easy Birria Burritos, I've picked up a few extra tips that truly elevate the experience from good to absolutely incredible! If you're using Lindsy's quick method, these additions can make your homemade birria burritos even more special. One thing I love about birria burritos is that amazing consomé! Don't just dip, make sure you really let those flavors develop. If your consomé feels a bit thin after cooking, simmering it down a bit on the stovetop after removing the meat can concentrate the flavors beautifully. Some people even add a spoonful of tomato paste or a small blend of rehydrated dried chiles (like guajillo and arbol) to their crockpot alongside the birria bomb for an extra layer of depth. And definitely don't let any of that precious liquid go to waste! It's incredible for dipping, but I've also used leftover consomé as a base for a quick soup or to moisten other dishes. While the original recipe gives you a fantastic base for yummy birria burritos, I've found that the toppings can really elevate the experience. Beyond sour cream, a must for me is finely diced white onion and fresh cilantro – it adds such a pop of freshness and texture. A squeeze of fresh lime juice is also essential for that tangy kick that cuts through the richness! For a little extra creaminess, a dollop of avocado crema or thinly sliced avocado works wonders. If you're feeling fancy, some crumbled cotija cheese adds a salty, savory touch. Sometimes I even make a quick batch of pickled red onions to complement the savory beef – they're surprisingly easy to make at home and add a fantastic zing! Getting that perfect crispy tortilla is key for a truly satisfying birria burrito! While dipping in consomé and frying is great, I've also tried brushing the tortillas lightly with a bit of the consomé and then pan-frying them. This gives them a nice crust without making them overly soggy. I usually opt for corn tortillas for an authentic flavor, but flour tortillas work wonderfully too, especially if you prefer a softer, chewier texture that's easier to fold. Just make sure not to overcrowd your pan when frying; you want them to get golden brown and slightly crispy, not steamed. Since this recipe uses a crockpot, it's perfect for hands-off cooking, and I always make a big batch! After shredding the meat, if you find it's a bit dry (though with chuck roast, it usually stays wonderfully moist), you can always add back a little bit of the consomé to keep it juicy. For leftovers, the birria meat freezes beautifully! I portion it out with a little consomé and freeze it for quick meals later. Then I can just reheat, assemble fresh tortillas, and have delicious birria burritos any night of the week. It’s such a time-saver and makes feeding a family so much easier! Honestly, these birria burritos have become a staple in my home. The comforting aroma of the slow-cooked beef fills the kitchen, and there's just something so satisfying about that rich, savory meat, melted cheese, and crispy tortilla. It's a meal that feels special but is surprisingly simple to put together, especially with the 'EZ Birria Bomb' hack. If you're looking for a crowd-pleasing dish that's bursting with flavor, you absolutely have to try making these. They're definitely a game-changer!
