My adhd depression is killing me ❤️🩹😭
As a somewhat new mama to a two year old boy who is hyper active. Also having learning delays like speech 🎤 and having speech therapy weekly and making sure that he is able to continue to communicate and make milestones. Inbetween me trying to get him all the tools he needs to succeed and support him any way I can. I thank god for the speech therapist and his teachers! What a god send because honestly I was drowning with trying to figure out what to do to help my son. I know I still struggle with adhd it was so hard for me in school k always wanted to excel I always felt like everything and still do is harder for me then everyone else. Like why can’t I be normal like everyone and consistant with myself or anything. Why do i always have burn outs or no energy or end goals instead of just trying to make it through the day! I just thank god for teachers and people who care who are consistent and help me and my son! Be the best we can be in life! #adhdkids#letschat @Lemon8 US
Parenting a child with ADHD can be incredibly challenging, especially when you are also navigating your own mental health struggles. Many parents find themselves overwhelmed, unsure of how to provide the best support for their children while managing their emotional well-being. It's crucial to seek help from professionals such as speech therapists and educators who can guide both you and your child. Understanding ADHD is key—not only the symptoms but also how they impact learning and development. Encourage open conversations with healthcare providers about effective coping strategies and therapies available. Establish a routine that accommodates your child's needs and encourages positive behaviors. As a parent, it’s important to practice self-care. Take time for yourself, whether it’s engaging in a favorite hobby or simply resting, to recharge and maintain mental clarity. Finding a community of fellow parents can also provide invaluable support. Online resources, forums, and local support groups can offer insights and connect you with those who understand your journey. Remember, you are not alone in this. Together with your child, you can navigate the complexities of ADHD while creating a fulfilling and supportive environment.

I can relate. Our son has ADHD with ODD. A dangerous cocktail. He currently is taking medications but the side effects are so fierce. Loss of appetite and violent mood swings. Working with a therapist and doctor to support his growth. It is his superpower!
