NYC Studio Apartment Tour & Tips

If Barbie had a Dream Studio Apartment, this would be it!

My first solo apartment - a studio in the Upper East Side, steps away from Central Park. I live on a fine line between being a minimalist and a maximalist, and I think that’s exactly the vibe of my home.

I tend to go for neutral and pink tones and like to keep things bright and optimistic. Being a true Libra, I love materialistic things so my # 1 need was a display self for my favorite handbags, books, and Barbie dolls!

A great hack for studio apartments is to use a shelving unit as a divider. This lets you have a separate bedroom space so it doesn’t feel like you’re stuck in the same room all day, every day!

My other tips:

*Use a clothing rack to expand your closet space. I put all my denim on mine so it’s aesthetically pleasing to look at!

*Buy couch and pillow covers so when you change your mind on what your style is or want to switch things up by season, you don’t have to buy all new pieces. You can find so many options on Amazon!

... Read moreLiving in a studio apartment has its challenges, especially in bustling cities like New York. These compact spaces require creative solutions for both functionality and aesthetics. One effective approach is embracing a color palette that promotes brightness and optimism, as demonstrated in this apartment with its beautiful neutral and pink tones. To further enhance space, you can use multi-functional furniture like a shelving unit that serves as both a divider and a storage solution, creating distinct areas within a single room. When it comes to maximizing storage, consider incorporating clothing racks for an aesthetically pleasing and accessible wardrobe display. This not only organizes your clothing but also adds a stylish element to your decor. Additionally, flexible decor options like couch and pillow covers are recommended to easily adapt your space according to seasonal trends without the need for major purchases. With these design tips and hacks, even the coziest of studio apartments can feel expansive and inviting.
